As a female small business owner, creating connections with other vendors within your community is so important. Not only is it good for networking, but it creates a relationship that fosters creativity, friendship, goal setting, and brainstorming.

Today, I am featuring an interview with Aadra, the co-owner of Day Dreamers Boutique, with two locations in Big Lake and Hopkins, Minnesota. Not only do they have really cute clothing, but they are always really helpful with wardrobe styling. Plus they are always refreshing their inventory, keeping in tune with the current trends.
I was inspired by the occasional shops in Buffalo MN. I fell in love with their design and thought, “hey I could do that!” I was asked to partner in this business by a very close friend. She made my dream a reality much much sooner than I had anticipated!
Being a co-owner with two others has really made me grow as a person. There have been crucial conversations and many many celebrations! On the technical side I’ve learned so much about how to finance, operationalize and execute a business plan. From a community standpoint I’ve learned who our customer base is. From a marketing side I’d still consider myself very much a novice and am learning so many different avenues to advertise!
She thought she could and she did. Reach for the stars and jump in right away! The longer you hesitate the harder it can be to start!!
God. Family. Friends. My hobby is in repurposing furniture and decor pieces. I really enjoy interior design!
