Megan + Dan //
I am so happy to share Megan and Dan’s winter wedding at Whitefish Lodge.
Megan and Dan enjoy northern Minnesota, and have family ties in the region. They decided to host their wedding at the lodge and incorporate flannel, candles, warm blankets, and best of all family and friends! The entire lodge was reserved for all of their guests. When you entered the lodge it was like a big family reunion. I loved how Megan and Dan’s family and friends made my assistant and I feel like family.
Some of my favorite parts of telling a love story is the getting ready portion of the day. The room is always full of electricity and excitement. Megan actually was so calm and at peace. It was lovely photographing her as she put on her dress with her mother and sister’s help.
The ceremony was held inside in front of the stone fireplace. The stone fireplace was decorated with photos of family members, lit candles, and warm blankets.
After the ceremony the bridal party headed over to their favorite watering hole, Moonlite Bay. I pulled Megan and Dan outside for some breathtaking golden hour images. I am absolutely IN LOVE with their images. That warm, golden sun pouring over them is just magical.
During the reception at Whitefish Lodge, there was many heartfelt speeches. I always love hearing what others have to say about my clients. I love hearing the funny stories, as well as the tearjerkers.
Megan and Dan, thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your love story. I loved everything about your beautiful winter wedding. I wish you nothing but love!
