Jenna and George | Solar-Arts-Wedding-Photographer

Jun 1, 2016

I am so smitten with Jenna and George’s wedding.

Jenna and George were married at St. Thomas the Apostle Church while surrounded by their closest friends and family. Their gorgeous reception was held at the Solar Arts Building in Minneapolis.

There were so many beautiful details that were lovingly thought of for this wedding. From the handsome blue suits worn by the groom and groomsmen, to the uniquely patterned ties and socks, the groomsmen had so much personality! Jenna’s floor length veil was absolutely breathtaking. There is just something about a veil blowing in the wind, that makes me giddy. Jenna’s bridal shoes by Badgley Mischka were to die for. The bridal bouquets by Appleblossom Flowers were so lovely and colorful. The bride created so many amazing details at the reception. I loved the “At Last” sign that was draped with greenery placed behind the head table. The couple also printed out vintage wedding photos of their family and displayed them on an antique bar, originally owned by Johnny Cash. As a surprise, a guest captured a photo of the couple after the ceremony and had it printed and framed and placed on the Johnny Cash bar at the reception. It was such a unique surprise, and I want to give a shout out to whomever came up with this idea! So brilliant!

Jenna and George are foodies, and had planned a stop at Tilia (one of their favorite restaurants) to have a glass of wine and take a moment together to exhale. I love that they incorporated this into their timeline. You may remember their engagement session at Spoon and Stable, which was so fun!

The speeches and toasts during the reception were so moving. I always tear up during speeches because there is so much emotion. Jenna and George, it is clear that you are so loved by your family and friends.

The first dances were also very touching. The images of Jenna and her dad embracing during their first dance are so moving. Jenna and George’s first dance as husband and wife was so beautiful. You could feel how much they love eachother.

After the first dances, we headed out for some gorgeous golden hour imagery. We really had to chase the sun (which was stubbornly hiding behind the buildings). I am in love with this set of images.

It is no secret to those who attended the wedding, that the dance was full of energy! I love the candid images I shot of everyone letting loose.

Jenna and George, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your love story. You are indeed, the Hanzals at Last.
