I am so excited to share Allison and Jesse’s gorgeous wedding at Villa Bellezza Vineyard in Pepin, Wisconsin.

When I asked Allison and Jesse how they would describe their wedding, they said “fun, elegant, and unique”. I will say that without a doubt, they definitely described their vision perfectly. The wedding planning and floral design by Johnny and Dottie, was absolutely breathtaking. The bridal bouquets were stunning. The floral arrangements in the dining room were perfection, and I loved the warmth of the candle light throughout the room.

One of my favorite parts of the wedding day, is the time before the first look, when the bride and her bridesmaids are getting ready. When I enter the room for the first time, the electricity in the air is so palpable. Seeing the bride among her friends and family is always so fun to be a part of. Watching the bride put on her wedding gown, with the help of her mother always makes me emotional. Allison’s getting ready images are some of my favorites. She and her mother are so incredibly close, and I loved watching them interact.

Allison and Jesse’s first look took place in the tower within the winery. I could tell how eager Jesse was to see Allison. The look on his face as he saw his bride for the first time was absolutely perfect! Allison wore a gown by Allure Couture and it was absolutely breathtaking.

After the first look, we ventured out among the vineyard. The rows and rows of grape vines were so beautiful. The bridal party joined us as well, and we had fun capturing the whole wedding party among the vines.

As the ceremony began, the flower girl and ring bearer began to walk down the aisle. One of the best moments of the wedding was when the flower girl literally began throwing the flower petals into the guests seats. It brought me back to my very own wedding, when our flower girl did the exact same thing!

After the ceremony, the guests were treated to a cocktail reception in the great room of the vineyard. Dinner was served family style. I always love this dining option because it makes everyone feel so comfortable and it really creates conversations among guests.

As the celebration began after dinner, I was struck by the speeches given by both the Allison and Jesse’s family. The speeches really magnified just how much they are loved. The speech given by Allison’s mother was perfection (she even got a standing ovation!).

After dinner, Allison had a surprise for her mother. Allison had secretly taken her mother’s wedding gown from years ago and had it reconstructed into a party dress that Allison wore for the reception. Allison surprised her mother by walking down the staircase, wearing the newly reconstructed gown. Her mom was in tears, and so was everyone else in the room. It was such a thoughtful moment that Allison had created for her mother.

The first dances are always so special to photograph. Everything just falls away and the bride and groom are in their own world. I am smitten with
the first dance I captured of Allison and Jesse as husband and wife. Just look at how much they love each other!

Allison and Jesse, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your love story. You were both so fun to work with, and I wish you nothing but happiness!
