I am absolutely giddy to share Shaylin and Michael’s harvest themed wedding at Shepherd’s Hill Farm.

Shaylin and Michael hired me while they were still living in California. When I chatted with Shaylin over the phone, I just knew I would love working with them! The way she described her wedding vision was so creative and unique. Shaylin described their small, intimate wedding theme as a “fancified magical harvest”. As time went by, Shaylin would connect with me to describe some of her thoughts about the vibe of her day, as well as special details she had in mind.

One of my favorite details of their day were the floral designs by Ashley Fox Designs. Shaylin let Ashley have free reign over all of the floral arrangements and centerpieces. Jaw dropping, inspiring, and magical are some of the words I can use to describe the floral arrangements and centerpieces. Instead of floral centerpieces on the reception tables, Shaylin and Michael had the idea of using harvest fruit, vegetables, leaves, and plants. It was just breathtaking! Shaylin’s bridal bouquet was absolutely stunning. It was one of the most beautiful and unique bouquets I have ever seen.

Another unique detail about the wedding was the bridesmaids dresses. Shaylin wanted a vintage vibe and knew she wanted the dresses to be different in color and pattern and she let the bridesmaids pick out their own dresses. The dresses photographed so well, and the girls looked amazing in them! Also, check out the super cute leggings the bride wore under her dress to stay warm!

The organic dinner by Common Roots Cafe was delicious and really accented the harvest theme. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, the bride and groom opted for delicious cakes by Cafe Latte. I will admit, I got a little excited when I heard Bill Murray was invited to the wedding. Unfortunatly the apple with his name on it was still there when we left. But maybe he will send a gift?!

I am slightly obsessed with Shaylin’s wedding gown by Kitty Chen Couture. It fit the Shaylin like a glove. It was like it was made for her! When we snuck out for some golden hour photos, the dress just came to life. Some of my favorite images are of Shaylin running through the pasture with the dress trailing behind her. And the images of Shaylin and Michael frolicking in the golden light are so magical.

Shaylin and Michael, you were so easy to work with. You were so relaxed and really let me be creative. I want to thank you for inspiring me on your wedding day. It truly was an honor working with you both.
