Rachel and Maury were married at the historic Basilica of St. Mary Church in Minneapolis.
I always love photographing weddings there for a few reasons… it is absolutely gorgeous inside, when I walk in the history overwhelms me, and the architecture is so beautiful.
Rachel and Maury are both so kind as well as family orientated. When I watched Maury with his step children, I got an overwhelming sense of love, kindness, and humor. Maury definitely knows how to make the kids laugh! I loved that Maury and the kids set up a surprise Skype date with Rachel’s Grandmother who could not attend the wedding. I could tell it meant so much to Rachel to see her Grandmother on her wedding day.
After the wedding, we headed over to the University Club of St. Paul for the reception. Merdith Meyer with Bride Support did an amazing job planning the details for the reception. The dining room was absolutely gorgeous. The tables were adorned with breathtaking florals and centerpieces by Floral Logic and I loved the details of the candy bar by The Candy Dish. The elegant surroundings of the University Club were absolutely beatutiful as well as classic.
