Minnesota Winter Photographer | No Snow Flake is the Same

I have been wanting to photograph snowflakes for a while now and finally had a perfect opportunity today. We had the “perfect” snow for it. Light, large, fluffy flakes were slowly falling from the sky this morning! My daughter and I ran out the front door hoping to capture some fun macro shots of the beautiful little flakes.

I like to challenge myself, so I used a macro technique called “backward free-lensing”. It is extremely tricky to do, but I really love it.
