Meet the Schlossers. You will instantly fall in love with them. The Schlossers were married on a hot summer day in June at Hidden Meadow and Barn in Wisconsin.
Kristin literally has one of the kindest personalities I have ever met and she has such a calm demeanor. Perfect traits to have since she just graduated nursing school and now works at Children’s Hospital.
Kevin went to college at West Point, then served in the Army. He has a very kind, stoic personality. The two of them together are magic.
Hidden Meadow and Barn was a perfect venue for Kristin and Kevin’s wedding. It is tucked into a valley in Pepin, Wisconsin. The round red barn is absolutely beautiful, and the ceremony site was to die for. The ceremony site is fenced in by long, flowing grasses. It has church windows that make you feel like you are in a place of worship. The reception was held in an open air building (which was perfect because it rained for about 20 minutes during dinner!). Even the bathrooms were adorable! Guests enjoyed playing corn hole, mingling throughout the farm, and of course amazing food by Gastro Truck.
When you add wedding planning by Rustic Elegance (just look at the tables!!) and sweets by Angel Food, this wedding was just perfection.
When the rain rolled in at dinner time, I was concerned about the golden hour. My assistant and I kept our eyes on the skies, waiting for a glimmer of golden light. We were thrilled when the clouds parted just a little bit and we were able to get some images with a little bit of golden sun (and umbrellas!). As the dance continued, my assistant and I noticed that the clouds were gone and the golden hour was in full swing! We contemplated pulling Kristin and Kevin away from their celebration to get some more images, when all of the sudden we saw them holding hands, walking towards us into the field. Apparently Kevin saw the golden light and grabbed Kristin to come join us. Couples like this are what make me love what I do.
Kristin and Kevin, I want to thank you for choosing me to tell your love story. You have left an imprint on my heart.
