This engagement session was like a dream come true. I get goose bumps just writing about it!
I am photographing Kendra and Steve’s upcoming wedding and when we started discussing their wedding theme (aviation), I mentioned it would be amazing to do an engagement session with some old airplanes. Kendra and Steve were all over it! Kendra contacted The Commemorative Air Force Minnesota Wing (http://www.cafsmw.org/index.php/hangar-and-museum) and they were so friendly and also generous.
When we arrived there were 2 volunteers there and they told us we could use any plane for the shoot. We were just floored by the sheer beauty of every plane. We choose 2 to shoot with. You could feel the history just standing next to these majestic airplanes.
My jaw dropped when I saw my clients arrive. Kendra looked drop dead gorgeous in a pencil dress that was just stunning on her. Steve looked very dapper and looked like Dom Draper from Mad Men!
Kendra and Steve were so natural in front of the camera. I didn’t really have to tell them what to do. “Just be in love” and “kiss her like you haven’t seen her in a year” was pretty much all I had to say.
I want to thank The Commemorative Air Force Minnesota Wing for your amazing generosity. And to Kendra and Steve, you guys were AMAZING last night! It really was a dream come true for me. I can’t wait to photograph your wedding on Friday!
xoxo,
Nicole
