I was honored to photograph this military homecoming today. The husband left for Afghanistan 11 months ago. His youngest son was only 1 month old when his Daddy deployed.
Jessica had contacted me last Fall to do a family session while her husband was in Afghanistan. As a member of Operation Love, I photographed the family and sent the images to her husband overseas.
It was exciting to see the kids again, and to see how they have grown. The 2 older children were practically bursting at the seams to see their Daddy! There were so many happy stories today. Two soldiers had never seen their daughters until today. I can’t even fathom how difficult it would be to not see your child be born.
