Meet Megan and Tyler. You are going to love them!

Megan and Tyler will be married next year at Rush Creek. I always love photographing engagement sessions, because it really gives me an opportunity to get to know my clients personalities (and they get to know me!). Megan and Tyler did not disappoint. First off, they brought their adorable rescue dog along for some photos. Just look at that face! He was such a good boy ( but really, he just wanted to sniff). Megan and Tyler basically giggled the entire session. I just love how they make each other laugh and just “get” each other. I mean seriously, don’t their images just put a smile on your face? They really felt comfortable in front of the camera, and were themselves.

Megan and Tyler, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your love story. I can’t wait for your wedding next year!

Meet Malli, from Spectrum Highschool in Elk River, Minnesota. I can honestly say that I really had a blast at Malli’s senior session. Although it was really hot that day, Malli was a serious trooper.

Malli asked to shoot her senior photos downtown Minneapolis for a more urban feel. I absolutely LOVE all of her images. We trapsed around Minneapolis and really found some great locations to shoot at. We ended our session on the top of her condo during the golden hour. I love the images of Malli, overlooking the downtown skyline during sunset.

The other thing I want to say about Malli, is she has the most kind hearted spirit, and has an amazing sense of humor. And she has the best Snapchats!

Malli, thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your senior year. You rock!

Meet Brooke and Steve. They will be getting married at Brackett’s Crossing in Lakeville, MN next year and I am honored to photograph their love story.

For Brooke and Steve’s engagement session, we met at a park last week and the weather was so gorgeous. The leaves on the trees were just starting to turn colors and I just love the warm cozy feeling of Brooke and Steve’s engagement images. Brooke and Steve also brought along their adorable dog and of course, he had a cute outfit to wear. ;)

Brooke and Steve, thank you so much for choosing me as your wedding photographer. I am looking forward to your wedding next year!

I am so excited to share Allison and Jesse’s gorgeous wedding at Villa Bellezza Vineyard in Pepin, Wisconsin.

When I asked Allison and Jesse how they would describe their wedding, they said “fun, elegant, and unique”. I will say that without a doubt, they definitely described their vision perfectly. The wedding planning and floral design by Johnny and Dottie, was absolutely breathtaking. The bridal bouquets were stunning. The floral arrangements in the dining room were perfection, and I loved the warmth of the candle light throughout the room.

One of my favorite parts of the wedding day, is the time before the first look, when the bride and her bridesmaids are getting ready. When I enter the room for the first time, the electricity in the air is so palpable. Seeing the bride among her friends and family is always so fun to be a part of. Watching the bride put on her wedding gown, with the help of her mother always makes me emotional. Allison’s getting ready images are some of my favorites. She and her mother are so incredibly close, and I loved watching them interact.

Allison and Jesse’s first look took place in the tower within the winery. I could tell how eager Jesse was to see Allison. The look on his face as he saw his bride for the first time was absolutely perfect! Allison wore a gown by Allure Couture and it was absolutely breathtaking.

After the first look, we ventured out among the vineyard. The rows and rows of grape vines were so beautiful. The bridal party joined us as well, and we had fun capturing the whole wedding party among the vines.

As the ceremony began, the flower girl and ring bearer began to walk down the aisle. One of the best moments of the wedding was when the flower girl literally began throwing the flower petals into the guests seats. It brought me back to my very own wedding, when our flower girl did the exact same thing!

After the ceremony, the guests were treated to a cocktail reception in the great room of the vineyard. Dinner was served family style. I always love this dining option because it makes everyone feel so comfortable and it really creates conversations among guests.

As the celebration began after dinner, I was struck by the speeches given by both the Allison and Jesse’s family. The speeches really magnified just how much they are loved. The speech given by Allison’s mother was perfection (she even got a standing ovation!).

After dinner, Allison had a surprise for her mother. Allison had secretly taken her mother’s wedding gown from years ago and had it reconstructed into a party dress that Allison wore for the reception. Allison surprised her mother by walking down the staircase, wearing the newly reconstructed gown. Her mom was in tears, and so was everyone else in the room. It was such a thoughtful moment that Allison had created for her mother.

The first dances are always so special to photograph. Everything just falls away and the bride and groom are in their own world. I am smitten with
the first dance I captured of Allison and Jesse as husband and wife. Just look at how much they love each other!

Allison and Jesse, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your love story. You were both so fun to work with, and I wish you nothing but happiness!

Meet Mona and Neal.

We photographed their engagement session in Big Lake, MN this week and we had so much fun. They brought along their adorable dog, Belle. She was the sweetest dog ever!

Mona and Neal are getting married next year, and I am honored to be their wedding photographer. They mentioned they have 10 grandchildren between the two of them, and all of them will be in the wedding!

When Mona and Neal arrived, they mentioned they brought 2 outfits to wear. They also mentioned that they basically live in their flannel shirts. Well, it’s a little known secret that I love flannel, so I was happy to incorporate theirs into their fall engagement photos. It really matched the natural wooded surroundings.

Mona’s laughter is seriously so infectious. I just love how happy Neal makes her.

Mona and Neal, thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your love story. I enjoyed getting to know you this week!
